Confident Producing for Women

This class will cover various aspects of film and television production, such as selecting scripts, coordinating writing, directing and editing, and arranging financing; while incorporating successful leadership skills for women.

As students learn to develop and produce their own short film they will also collaborate on multiple short films and television projects. Students will learn how to navigate the male-driven industry using strategic vision, effective communication, creativity and innovation. Confidence training, critical thinking and problem solving are the important tools that will be instilled in our all-female production class.

Class time: 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm (2 hours)

What do we do with the funds?

We use the fees that we charge for this program to cover overhead, educational materials, host technology, create and test different business models, conduct market research, and also to drive workforce development initiatives that support and develop the constituents of our community.

Week One

In collaborative groups, students the various stages of development and start with pitch and treatment, 

Week Two

Students learn how to breakdown a script and prepare a budget.

Week Three

Students learn how to talent search and budget

Week Four:

Students learn to plan for marketing and distribution
